Traditionally, Quantity Surveyors use design and drawing information to draft a Bill of Quantities for use by contractors when submitting tenders or planning for works.

A claim for the recovery of a reasonable sum of money for work done or services rendered at the request of and accepted by the defendant. It is a form of restitutionary claim founded on the principles of unjust enrichment. Such a claim often arises where a contract is unenforceable or becomes void.
